My ONA Experience

Finally made it to

(FYI! Super Old Post)
ONA is one of the latest restaurants we have in town. Located in the hearts of Victoria Island, ONA is an African Infused restaurant. The food is tasty, feeling and expensive, so come prepared!

BITES

Crispy plantain chips were served to us while we waited for our food. We however had to ask for something to chew on because of the wait to get our food. They were nice though.

ONA LEMONGRASS KOMBUCHA LEMONADE

Then came this gorgeousness. The non-alcoholic drink is a solid 5/5.

shoyu-braised pork belly, seaweed crisp,

rice crisp, shoko mash,

Our meals did take a sometime before we were served. However, because it took me too long to order because I had no idea what the food was going to look/taste like, we only got one Large Plate. The meal was decent, only because it had things I wasn’t a fan of – tasted very groundnut pasty which I am sure it is meant to taste that way and also very lemony (if I remember). I’ll give this 3

SWEETS

Sticky Pudding, whipped ehuru, ginger crisp.

If you are a sweet tooth, oh! you going to LOVE this. Super sweet but also very nice. 5/5 for me

LIKES

a.) Ambience

b.) Server: Daniel was pleasant and patient.

c.) Food was really tasty.

d.) Great drinks and dessert.

DISLIKES

I was happy going into the restaurant but also happy coming out.

The ambience is beautiful and serene and the food was really tasty.

However, some of the few things I did not like were:

a.) it took a while for them to bring out the food considering that we were the only ones there, that wasn’t cute.

b.) not so easy to locate for a first timer.

c.) boy! way too expensive, however you should only come here if you can handle it.
